Your “progress” is not a progress

My progress is human rights movement, “Black Lives Matter”, women’s rights, anti-war and defund the police. In other words, these are the rights, which were purchased at a big price in 1960s, and the process is being continuing now. Free healthcare for all is in the same row (although it already has been implemented in almost all major countries).

The “progress” as is defined by the mainstream media, is the same, plus abortion rights (meaning, solely by the mother’s will, without the requirement of the presence of the medical or criminal case), euthanasia and legalization of drugs for the recreational purposes.

I guess that throughout last decades, there were some judges of the U.S. Supreme Court, who could impose their will, based on minorities interests, to the American society as a whole. (The same happened sometimes also with the conservative judges, which is also a shameful thing).

Then the minority has become a majority — there’s no wonder in this. There may be a historic example of the generally accepted moment, when started the decay of a Russian democracy. In 1996 through the series of illegal manipulations with the public opinion, paid by large portions of cash on hand (which was transported in carton boxes), violating the state laws regulating elections campaigns, Yeltsin was re-elected. When campaigning began in early 1996, Yeltsin’s popularity was close to being non-existent.

In many cases these are not the minorities as defined in real human rights movements. (In the case of contrary — abortion as a result of the financial need — of course, it must be regarded as a need for defense and support. And this is where everyone interested should direct their effort to).

If not to talk about the ultimate beneficiaries — abortion businesses, etc., — these are the people who have voluntarily chosen to kill. To kill embryo, themselves or, through addiction to drugs which are sold by the drug-sellers, to negatively impact the mental health of other people. They want the recognition of these rights to kill from the state, and in some instances the money from the taxpayers.

These are not the rights which were always suppressed in the past. The first association of these “rights” to me — is with ignorance. Right to kill one’s own children? Refer to Gogol’s “Taras Bulba”. Accompanied suicide probably was not so common, but for a custom of killing old men, who can’t work any more, see the corresponding scene in Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “Wind, Sand and Stars”. Free use of drugs in recreational purposes? There is a story about it in Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes cycle (the description of a drug den in “The Man with the Twisted Lip”).

All of these seems to be the creatures of the past: ancient times, or, for some societies, up to the beginning of the 20s century.

The West has fallen in a trap. As it happens often, the bad guys have added their content to the REAL thing. But everyone can sort out the truth from the lies.

What is needed for this, is the courage plus not to be afraid of going against prevailing opinion. Maybe call it integrity? In such case, it is giving benefits to the person, not only the drawbacks.
